Varying Exceptionalities

The Countryside High School ESE program is a VE (Varying Exceptionality) Model.  In a VE Model, special education students are placed in General Education or ESE least restrictive environment by their ability level, rather then their exceptionality. Our ESE academic programs include TMH (Trainable Mentally Handicapped), EMH (Educable Mentally Handicapped), SLD (Specific Learning Disabilities), EH (Emotionally Handicapped), OHI Other Health Impaired, OI /PI Orthopedically and Physically Impaired.   Itinerant programs are also provided in CD (Communication Disordered, Speech and Language Impaired), SLI (Severely Language Impaired), HI (Hearing Impaired), VI (Vision Impaired) , PT (Physical Therapy), and OT (Occupational Therapy).
