"Spring of 1998 PDIs"
FSCA is sponsoring our Second
Annual Professional Development Institute
at several locations throughout Florida!
Take advantage of this!
This year's presenter is Dr. Carolyn Stone, an Assistant Professor
in the Department of Counselor Education at the University of North Florida
in Jacksonville, Florida. Dr. Stone is passionate
about the vital nature of our profession and those of you who are
school counselors.
She is also dedicated to solidifying the school counselor's role in
the future. This is why she has committed to present this workshop on the
timely issue of "Legal and Ethical Issues in Working with Today's Youth."
She will bring information regarding current laws and judicial decisions,
as well as a framework for thinking about and resolving ethical issues that
are pertinent to school counselors and other mental health professionals.
Actual case studies, pertinent to all participants, will be presented.
In addition, the University of North Florida will sponsor this year's CEUs.
