Museums
The museums in Central Florida's Polk County appeal to people of all ages and all interests. The young and the young at heart can dig for fossils at the Mulberry Phosphate Museum, take an airplane flight by participating in the Sun'n Fun's Young Eagles Program or dress up and pretend to drive a fire truck at Explorations V- Children's Museum.

Theater
The Performing Arts are very much alive in Central Florida's Polk County offering a wide variety of live entertainment including the famed Black Hills Passion Play, performances by the award winning Theatre Winter Haven and an ongoing concert series by the Lakeland based Imperial Symphony Orchestra.
Polk Community College in Winter Haven, Florida Southern College in Lakeland and the Lake Wales Arts Council offer excellent Fine Arts series. Plays and other cultural activities are also staged at the Lakeland Civic Center.
