Welcome to “Breakfast with Mr. Bates”!  I am honored to be a part of this interactive process with you.  On this post, I will let you know of new things happening around the school and provide you with an opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback.

 The school year has started out great!  Cougar U, our 9^th grade program, has been at Countryside for four years.  This year, we will have the distinct pleasure of graduating our first Cougar U group, the class of 2011 while also welcoming our newest students, the class of 2015. 

 Our program’s vision is for all students to learn, achieve and succeed.  Our mission is for all students to be connected to CSHS, college, and careers through academic personalization. 

We want to create a strong partnership with students, parents, faculty, and the community.  We want our students to be active participants in their education while also enjoying the benefits of athletics, sports, clubs, and activities.  We encourage students to join something and get connected today!

On Thursday, April 21st Countryside High School will be hosting a Freshmen Informational Registration Meeting for incoming ninth graders. The event will be at Countryside High School's auditorium and concourse from 6:00 - 7:00 pm.  This event will help students and parents finalize their choices for next year so that there will be limited changes once the  2011-2012 school year begins. Administrators, the ninth grade guidance counselor, teachers, elective teachers, coaches and club advisors will be present.
